Using Luma

Luma offers free browser-based media tools. There is no visitor account, subscription or payment requirement in this release. Use only files you have permission to process, and use the tools and outputs lawfully. Do not attempt to disrupt the website or interfere with other visitors' access.

Your files and results

You retain your rights in your files. Luma does not claim ownership of your media and does not upload it for processing. You control the originals and downloads.

Keep your originals and inspect results before relying on them. Processing can change quality, colour, resolution, orientation, metadata or other properties. AI enhancement can introduce inaccurate details. A keyframe-based video trim may include material outside the selected time range. Check the exported file before sharing it.

Availability and limitations

Speed and compatibility depend on your device, browser, available memory and file format. We do not guarantee that every file will work, an output will always be smaller, or the service will be uninterrupted. Features and technical limits may change. See browser support for practical limits.

The tools are general utilities and are not designed to verify evidence or provide medical, legal or other professional assessments. No particular level of accuracy or fitness for such uses is promised.

Your legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Any mandatory consumer rights that apply remain unaffected. These terms do not impose a blanket waiver of liability.

Open-source software

Luma's original application code is available under GPL-2.0-or-later. Third-party libraries, models and assets retain their own licenses. Source downloads and notices are available on the open-source page. These site terms do not restrict permissions granted by those licenses or transfer ownership of the software to visitors.

Privacy and contact

See the privacy notice for website requests and optional support messages. If something goes wrong, contact us with the tool name, browser, file format and a description of the problem. Avoid sending confidential media.

Law and changes

The governing law is the law of England and Wales. This does not remove mandatory protections or court rights available to consumers in their country of residence. Changes to these terms will be published here with an updated date.
