Choose the format for the job

JPG is useful for photographs and broad compatibility. PNG preserves crisp edges and transparency without lossy compression. WebP supports transparency and often makes smaller images for websites.

Conversion has boundaries

This tool accepts still JPG, PNG and WebP files. It does not accept HEIC, SVG, RAW, TIFF or animated images. Conversion cannot restore detail already lost to compression. Browser color management can change wide-gamut images.
